The Colors of Sound - Nicolle Cure

I explore the relationship between sound and life, encouraging the reflection on how we listen to our surroundings.
— Nicolle Cure

Nicolle Cure is a Colombian-American artist based in Miami. Nicolle's passion is helping others through her art which she uses as a tool to create and support the causes she believes in. Nicolle collaborates with animal welfare campaigns as well as education and health research initiatives among other causes.

Throughout her life, she created several biographical collections which depict different emotions and events; from life to death, from sorrow and solace to extreme joy, and new beginnings. Her art is a contrast of light and shadows, a combination of the abstract and the surreal.

Through this collection, "The (Invisible) Colors of Sound" she is raising awareness about a particular cause - hearing loss and vestibular (balance) disorders after experiencing this unfortunate illness herself. Nicolle suffered from a sudden hearing loss in her right ear, which was the driving force and an inspiration for her latest collection.

Through The Colors of Sound, Nicolle explores the relationship between sound and life, encouraging the reflection on how we listen to our surroundings. She wants to continue giving hope to other people who, like her, are battling chronic, "invisible" health conditions.

The Colors of Sound collection is currently exhibiting at JW Marriot Marquis Hotel, Miami.
